KU Medical Center operates a state-of-the-art hospital inpatient unit, a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, and a number of primary and subspecialty care clinics that serve pediatric patients throughout the region. In addition, the medical center offers
a variety of community outreach programs including a telemedicine program that allows for diagnosing patients as well as receiving educational information via television satellite for area school districts and rural health clinics.
