
Scott J. Burt
President and CEO
Scott J. Burt was named President and CEO for Children’s Miracle Network October 24, 2008. He served as chief operating officer for Children’s Miracle Network, a position he has held for nearly nine years.
Burt is a 22-year veteran of Children’s Miracle Network with more than 30 years experience and expertise in senior management, board relations, administration, financial management and corporate relations. In his role as COO he has overseen all aspects of business at Children’s Miracle Network including financials, marketing, development and internal relations.
Burt graduated from Brigham Young University in accounting and is a CPA. His financial background has proved valuable in helping build Children’s Miracle Network from a startup charity to one of the largest and most successful children’s charities in North America.
Children’s Miracle Network has been successful in building and maintaining relationships with 70 of the most successful companies in the world. Burt and his management team are also responsible for the relationships of 170 member hospitals and 300 television and radio stations.

John Hartman
Chief International Officer
John Hartman is the Chief International Officer for Children's Miracle Network. In John’s current capacity he oversees all operations, planning and aspects of the business in Canada.
John joined Children's Miracle Network in March of 2004 to head up the Canadian Operations. In this capacity the team of eight has helped foster dramatic revenue and brand growth in creating strategic partnerships with top organizations. Revenues have grown from $16 million in 2004 to a record achievement of more than $46 million in 2008.
Prior to joining Children's Miracle Network and being promoted to his current position in April of 2008, John held a number of senior positions with United Way – locally, nationally and internationally, as well as spending four years heading up Juvenile Diabetes Canada fundraising team.

Brian Hazelgren
Chief Development Officer
Brian Hazelgren is the Chief Development Officer for Children's Miracle Network. In Brian’s current capacity he oversees the non-profit capital fund raising campaigns for Children’s Miracle Network exceeding $240 million annually.
Prior to joining Children's Miracle Network, Brian consulted with hundreds of companies on a local, national and international scale where he developed strategies to increase sales. His techniques of sales, marketing and logistics and operations have spanned small businesses, large enterprises, non-profit organizations and government.
Brian is an adjunct professor at the University of Utah in the entrepreneurship program and has written eight highly successful books and training manuals. He has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Western International University, with a minor in finance and graduated with honors Summa Cum Laude.

Claire Richards, CPA
Chief Financial Officer
Claire Richards is the Chief Financial Officer for Children's Miracle Network. In Claire’s current capacity she oversees all financial operations.
Claire joined Children's Miracle Network in 2006. Prior, Claire taught as an associate professor of accounting for nearly five years at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was also an Instructor at the University of Utah.
Claire has previously served on the Board of Trustees for Gina Bachauer International Piano Foundation. She has also been a member of the American Accounting Association. Claire received a bachelor of music and a master of accountancy from Brigham Young University. She also received a Ph.D. in accounting from the University of Utah and is a CPA.

Craig Sorensen
Chief Marketing Officer
Craig Sorensen is the Chief Marketing Officer for Children's Miracle Network. In Craig’s current capacity he oversees communications and brand management; direct marketing; broadcast communications and production; public relations; and celebrity relations. Craig is also responsible for more than $40 million in annual fundraising through direct marketing and Radiothon efforts.
Craig has been employed with Children’s Miracle Network for 13 years and has spent ten years on the executive management team to spread the message of children’s hospitals he has forged many partnerships with organizations including the PGA Tour, US News & World Report and XM Satellite Radio.
Craig received his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and received an MBA from the Marriott School at Brigham Young University.
