Whether it is little league teams celebrating at the restaurants after games, children enjoying dinner with their parents, or teenagers visiting for cool treats at the end of a date, Dairy Queen and kids go hand in hand. And, if these cherished youngsters ever became sick or injured, Dairy Queen wants to help assure they have the best medical care available. That’s why the Dairy Queen system has been a proud sponsor of Children’s Miracle Network since 1984. During the past 25 years, Dairy Queen Operators throughout the United States and Canada have raised more than $77 million for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals. From collecting customers’ pocket change to selling Miracle Balloons and holding special events, Dairy Queen is giving back to the communities in which they do business. On Thursday, August 13, 2009, all participating Dairy Queen®, DQ® Treat Center and DQ® Grill & Chill® locations in the United States and Canada will once again donate proceeds from every Blizzard® Treat sold to Children’s Miracle Network. Dairy Queen has been very successful with Miracle Treat Day in Canada over the past few years. For the last three years, Miracle Treat Day has encompassed both Canada and the United States.
