Giant Food Stores, LLC, one of the leading supermarket operations in the United States is committed to “Living Here, Giving Here.” It shows that commitment by raising funds for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia areas where they operate stores.
Giant is proud that community stewardship is part of their corporate culture. At the heart of this culture are the customers, associates and vendor partners who have helped raise nearly 18 million dollars for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals since 1995.
The “Our Kids” golf tournament started 13 years ago and now is the largest of its kind on the East Coast and helps Giant reach its mission to improve the quality of life for children. Last year, more than 1,700 golfers teed up on 12 golf courses in one day.
In addition to its annual golf tournament, Giant also contributes funds raised by customers and associates through in-store campaigns. Each summer Giant associates sells Miracle Balloons and during the holidays, stores sell paper candles through their "Candles for Kids" promotion. As a company, Giant is proud to work with hundreds of local organizations in the communities it serves and has a long-standing commitment to eradicate hunger and improve the quality of life for children.
