In February 2009, IHOP partnered with Children’s Miracle Network to celebrate its fourth annual National Pancake Day. During this event, IHOP guests were invited to enjoy a free short stack of its signature buttermilk pancakes and, in return, collected donations for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.
The newly-crowned Miss America 2009, Katie Stam, served as the event’s national spokesperson, generating national public awareness for the cause. This event was a huge success as IHOP gave away more than 2.5 million pancakes. More than 1,300 IHOP restaurants participated in the day’s festivities. Through their support of National Pancake Day, IHOP employees and guests raised more than $1,300,000.
Children’s Miracle Network is pleased to have IHOP as one of its sponsors and looks forward to a successful partnership for many years to come.
