Children and their health needs are different. That's why it takes different resources to care for children and why there are pediatricians, pediatric specialists, and children's hopsitals.

"Outside of education, children's hospitals are the single largest resource for children in the community," said Larry McAndrews, president and CEO of the National Association of Children's Hospitals and Related Institutions (NACHRI).
